Boy Scouts to now accept transgender youth

The Boy Scouts of America have announced they will now allow children who “identify” as boys to become Boy Scouts, the leadership announced Monday.
“Starting today, we will accept and register youth in the Cub and Boy Scout programs based on the gender identity indicated on the application,” said Michael Surbaugh, Chief Scout Executive. “Our organization’s local councils will help find units that can provide for the best interest of the child.”

Night to Shine Prom for Special Needs Students Expands

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (WordNews.org) Jan. 30, 2017 – On Feb. 10, 2017, Liquid Church in Morristown, N.J., will play host for a Night to Shine prom for special needs students who are 14 years old or older. This is an event sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.
It will be just one of more than 350 sites around the world to host the special night that is created to show God’s love to people with special needs, organizers said.  To read more
